The program offers a combination of parenting guidance and a range of activities for the child, including:

  • Language enrichment exercises
  • Exercises to refine hand-eye coordination and visual discrimination
  • Practical life exercises
  • Early exposure to literacy
  • Art activities

As with any Montessori environment, the children’s activities are carefully set out to entice the child to discover and explore. They are introduced to each child at the appropriate time for their individual development.

Infant / Toddler Program - Spindle Activity

Materials are set out in such a way that the children can use them with a minimum of adult assistance. Parents are made aware of the importance of allowing their child to complete and repeat tasks without interruption or interference. In this way, the child builds up their concentration span.

The environment provides parents with a hands-on experience of the practical application of the Montessori method of education.

In this relaxed atmosphere parents are invited to have a tea or coffee and also enjoy both their child’s and some adult company, whilst gaining valuable parenting knowledge and practical experience of Montessori philosophy for the home environment.
